Later Days, “Lost in the Sound.” The debut album from this Austin hard-rock group comes less than a year after the band began. “The five members mesh so tightly that it seems like they could have been playing together for years,” we observed in our current Austin360 Artist of the Month feature. Release show Feb. 17 at Grizzly Hall. Here’s the video for the track “Paper Towns” performed live in our Statesman studio:
Molly Burch, “Please Be Mine” (Captured Tracks). The debut album from Los Angeles-raised artist who moved to Austin after studying music in college in North Carolina mixes elements of singer-songwriter folk and indie-pop, centered on Burch’s engaging vocal presence. Release show Feb. 18 at Mohawk indoor. Here’s the video for the track“Downhearted”:
