Songs for Standing Rock, Vol. 3. The latest volume in an ambitious weekly series of digital compilations motivated by the recent Dakota Access Pipeline protests features songs from Austin acts Belle Sounds, Jackie Venson and KP & the Boom Boom among its 15 tracks. The series, launched by Austin musician Phoebe Hunt, featured many other Austin acts on its first two volumes, including Ali Holder, Raina Rose, Shawnee Kilgore, Amanda Pearcy, Dawn & Hawkes, Wendy Colonna, Daisy O’Connor and Samuel Grey Horse. The compilations are available on a name-your-price basis from the Songs For Standing Rock website.
